Boston, MA (November 6, 2025) – Chris DiBella, our founder of DiBella Law Injury and Accident Lawyers, recently had the privilege of volunteering at the 2025 Career Forum event hosted by New England Law. The firm was listed under the Personal Injury Law section, alongside other esteemed attorneys in Massachusetts across all legal practice areas. This event, structured as an in-person, table-talk discussion, offered students a wonderful opportunity to meet a range of attorneys, learn about various career paths, and develop their professional network.
A Supercharged Outlook on Future Candidates
Chris DiBella loved attending the event and engaging with the students. He enjoyed describing his day-to-day on the job to the students and described the interactions as energizing. Chris had numerous great conversations with the students, whom he calls the “future of law”, and even managed to meet someone from his hometown in New York.
Overall, Chris left the forum extremely optimistic about the talent he encountered, noting that “We found some people who might be great candidates for us in the near future”. His optimism highlights the how impressed he was by the students attending the forum, who were advised to wear business attire and collect business cards for future follow-up.
Spotlight on the Career Services Office (CSO)
The Career Forum is sponsored by the New England Law Career Services Office (CSO). The CSO’s core mission is to “Prepare You for Professional Excellence,” starting the moment students arrive on campus.
The Career Services team works closely with students throughout their academic journey to help them prepare for the job search process, introduce potential career paths, and connect them with the school’s vast alumni network.
Key services offered by the CSO include:
- Career Counseling: The office helps students create a personalized strategy to identify and achieve their career goals, offering one-on-one coaching, mock interviews, and practice-specific panels.
- Responsible Lawyering: The CSO partners with the Academic Excellence Program to deliver career development programming during the 1L Responsible Lawyering Class. Topics covered include resume and cover letter writing, networking, perfecting communication skills, and the 1L Summer job search.
- Summer Fellowship Program: The CSO administers this program, enabling 1L students to apply for positions in various areas of law, gain significant experience, and receive a stipend from the school.
- Professional Association Membership: Students are automatically enrolled to become law student members of both the Boston Bar and the Massachusetts Bar Association, providing access to hundreds of free educational programs, social events, and networking opportunities.
The commitment of the CSO is highly valued by students, with one alumna describing the staff as “superheroes”. They send a weekly electronic newsletter to all students featuring recruitment opportunities, new job listings, and professional development programs.
