Ford F-350 With Car Hauler Involved in Meredith Collision Along Route 104 by Corliss Hill Road

MEREDITH, NEW HAMPSHIRE (March 25, 2026) – At least three people were injured in a Meredith truck accident along Route 104 near Corliss Hill Road.

Meredith officials are saying that the collision took place around 3:52 PM on March 9. A Ford 350 with an open car hauler carrying three vehicles was traveling down the roadway when it collided with the rear of a Toyota Tacoma.

The driver of the Toyota Tacoma was pushed into oncoming lanes of traffic. Paramedics were called to the scene of the accident to help all of the victims.

The 18-year-old driver of the truck and a 19-year-old female passenger were both taken to Concord Hospital-Laconia to receive treatment.

Route 104 was closed for a little over an hour as the scene was cleared. A full investigation into the collision remains ongoing at this time.

Liability for Meredith Truck Accidents

Every person operating a motor vehicle in New Hampshire must use caution and slow down as necessary to avoid hitting other vehicles. Among other things, truck drivers must maintain a safe distance with vehicles ahead of them. According to NH Rev Stat § 265:25, “The driver of a vehicle shall not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of such vehicles and the traffic upon and the condition of the way.”

There are many other ways a driver may have acted negligently and contributed to an accident.

  • Speed: A driver may have been traveling at an unsafe speed given the prevailing road conditions.
  • Intoxication: A driver may be intoxicated through their use of some substance.
  • Distraction: A driver may be distracted by looking at their cell phone or by reaching for some object that fell.

If a driver does not slow down in time to avoid hitting a stationary vehicle, they could be held liable. Liability for such a collision could extend beyond any one driver. For example, the company that owns a car hauler truck could be liable for a collision. Generally speaking, employers in New Hampshire are legally responsible for the negligent conduct of their workers who are operating within the course and scope of their job duties.

Steps to Take After Meredith Truck Accidents

Multiple actions should be taken after any truck accident.

  • The police should be called to the scene so that they can conduct an investigation.
  • The nature and purpose of the truck driver’s trip should be well understood.
  • Any surveillance footage that may have captured the crash should be preserved.
  • Victims should consider all of their legal options with an experienced truck accident attorney.

Truck accidents are often highly preventable. In many cases, they involve drivers that are not properly scanning the road ahead of them for potential hazards. Another major problem is that truck drivers may be asked to work long hours and become naturally fatigued. Unfortunately, truck drivers and their insurance providers will almost never accept responsibility when they cause a collision that injured someone. Any person injured through the action of a truck driver may be able to pursue some measure of accountability through a personal injury claim.
