Just because we filed a lawsuit doesn’t mean that you’re definitely going to trial. Statistics show that 95 to 96% of personal injury cases settle even before trial. Filing a lawsuit just gives us significantly more leverage in negotiations and they can lead to better settlement offers. Many of our best settlements happen during litigation when insurance companies realize we’re serious and we’re taking the case all the way if we need to.

The lawsuit opens up discovery. We get their documents. We get to depose their witnesses. And we get to build an even stronger case than we started off with. Most insurance companies would rather to pay a fair settlement than risk a jury verdict. But having a firm that’s willing to go all the way to trial is what’s going to get you there.
