From Accident Victim to Accident Attorney 

My brother was riding a bicycle and he was struck by a motor vehicle. I remember picking up the phone, hearing a frantic person on the other line talking about my brother had been in an accident right downtown from where I grew up. So I had handed off the phone to my father; he jetted out right to the accident scene. My mother and I followed shortly. I remember seeing my brother laying in a hospital bed. It had a very significant impact on me from a very early age. I think having experienced my brother’s accident firsthand and knowing what the family goes through has enabled me to empathize with my clients on a much different level.

The case that got us really involved with Chris was with my grandmother. The family and I were actually at a hockey game, and we got a phone call from her saying that she had got hit by a car. We come home, and clearly she’s visibly damaged. She went blind in one eye. She had physical issues with walking. Because I’ve known Chris for years, at the hospital I called him and I was like, “Is this something that you can help us with?” And he said, “Absolutely,” and he just took the ball and ran with it.

In a situation where you need help, you want somebody that will step in and give you a sense of calm. Chris handled it from A to Z. To me, getting involved and really helping people in their most vulnerable, difficult time in their life is why we started this.

My son had a serious accident at a campground. He severely broke his wrist in multiple places and dislocated it. We realized we needed an attorney when we started getting bills back from the medical center. We met Chris, and it was an instantaneous feeling that we knew we were going to be okay.
