My mom had been carelessly handled by a place that caused her injuries, and she wasn’t the same after the injuries. My mother needed the care from that facility to keep her safe, and they didn’t do a good job doing that.
What did Chris do when he stepped in as your lawyer?
He held them responsible. Chris held the person at the facility, the person that caused the accident, and a couple of others from the other accident—all responsible for what they caused my mom. I wasn’t going to get back my mom. No dollar sign could put the value, like I told you, on my mom. And I think that’s part of what our negotiation was in the room—there wasn’t a high enough dollar sign that could get back my mom’s brain. If you want to give me something, give me back what you took from my mom—and you can’t.
Well, I always say we had a family lawyer, because he is our family. He was a rock—a rock star. I don’t know if I can say kick butt—with my mom’s cases—and he definitely made you feel like family, not just an attorney. He wouldn’t just call you for business; he’d call you to say how you are. So I would refer him highly. I refer him to everybody, as he already knows.
