Monica McCarthy, 34, of Derry, Died in Rockingham County Dump Truck Crash by Hampstead Road and Nutmeadow Lane
DERRY, NEW HAMPSHIRE (August 1, 2026) – A 24-year-old woman identified as Monica McCarthy has died in a Derry dump truck accident by the intersection of Hampstead Road and Nutmeadow Lane.
Rockingham County officials are saying that the incident occurred around 12:55 PM on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. Monica McCarthy was heading down the road in a 2017 Toyota Corolla when she was involved in a collision with a 1998 Peterbilt dump truck.
Derry fire department personnel and paramedics were called to the scene of the crash to help the innocent victim. Monica McCarthy was transported to Parkland Medical Center in critical condition.
Unfortunately, she was later pronounced deceased at the hospital. Authorities closed both sides of the intersection as they continue to investigate the scene.
