Rivian SUV Ran Over Female Pedestrian Before She Was Airlifted to Boston Hospital With Serious Injuries
NANTUCKET, MASSACHUSETTS (July 6, 2026) – A female pedestrian was seriously injured in a Nantucket car accident in the parking lot of a downtown Stop & Shop.
Nantucket police officials are saying that the incident occurred around 1:30 PM on Monday afternoon. The woman was in the parking lot when she was run over and pinned by a Rivian SUV.
Paramedics were called to the scene of the collision to help the injured victim. She was airlifted to a Boston hospital to receive treatment for serious injuries.
Authorities closed off Candle Street and Salem Street as they continued their investigation. It remains unclear if the driver of the Rivian SUV will face any charges for the crash.
